Professor Zhibo Li is a full Professor of Institute of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). He received his BSc and MSc degrees in polymer science and engineering from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1998 and 2001, respectively. Then he obtained his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from University of Minnesota under the supervision of Prof. Timothy P. Lodge and Prof. Marc A. Hillmyer in 2006 and subsequently joined the bioengineering department of UCLA in Prof. Timothy J. Deming's group as a post-doctoral researcher from 2006 to 2008. In August 2008, he established "synthetic polypeptides materials" group in ICCAS as a Distinguished Talent Member. He was awarded the IUPAC Prof. Jiang Novel Materials Youth Prize in 2011.
