Injectable hydrogel based on polypeptides
Biodegradable injectable hydrogels have shown important application prospect as biomedical polymer materials. Based on natural amino acids, thermo-responsive polypeptide materials have been prepared to construct injectable and thermo-responsive hydrogels via molecular design and controllable ring-opening polymerization. The synthesis technique of controllable ring-opening polymerization was adopted to avoid the tedious procedures with high cost during the solid-phase peptide synthesis while keeping physical and biofunctional properties.
