Jie Ma's research is focused in the fabrication and application of micro- & nano-structured materials. Current research topics include bio-inspired micro- and nano-structured surfaces with special wetting and adhesion properties, and nano-channels with ion-selective transporting properties. He has rich experience with clean-room facilities and micro-fabrication techniques, including optical lithography, e-beam lithography, film deposition, electro-plating, dry and wet etching, and nano-imprinting.
