Dr. Ruigang Liu

Associate Professor

He received his BSc degree in polymer science and engineering from Qingdao University in 1995 and his MSc degree from China Textile Uiversity in 1998. And then he obtained his Ph.D degree from Donghua University in 2001. And subsequently he joined in Polymer Physics and Chemistry Lab of Institute of Chemistry in Prof. Yong Huang group as a post-doctoral researcher from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2006, he joined Institute of Physical Chemistry of Technical University of Clausthal in Germany as a post-doctoral researcher with Prof. Oppermann. In August 2006, he jointed Institute of Chemistry, CAS as a faculty member in Laboratory Polymer Chemistry and Physics.

Research Interests:

1. Hydrogen bonds of polysaccharides;

2. Functinoal materials with block of natural polymers;

3. High performance fibers (processing, structure and properties relationship).
