Our research interests focus on design and synthesis of molecules based materials and development of new self-assembled technologies for molecular aggregation structures, molecular heterostructure materials and their properties. We mainly pay attention to the carbon and carbon-rich molecular aggregation structures with optical and electrical activity, and the self-assembly and self-organized methodologies and growth for the directional, multi-dimensional and large-size heterostructures.
Our group is mainly responsible for National Basic Research Program of China (973),National Key Science Projects Program, National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), Main Direction Program of Knowledge Innovation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Major Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, NSFC/DFG, NSFC/HongKong Joint internationalresearchprojects. Since the establishment of our group, the joint efforts of all members carried out the carbon and carbon-rich base material, aggregation structures and heterostructure materials research, obtained a series of innovative achievements. More than 450 SCI papers were published in magazines such as Acc. Chem. Res., Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., and some heart-break work were highlighted by C & EN News, Mater Today, NPG Asia Mater, ACS Heart Cut, NanoTech and Nat China many times in recent years. The papers were cited by others more than five thousand times in the past decade.
