Xinyu Cao, Associate Profesor

From 1987 to 1994, she studied in Xi’An Jiaotong University, Polymer Materials and engineering, and got the bachelor’s and master’s degree. She won the third prize of Xi’An Jiaotong University Science And Technology for the Quick Dry Unsaturated Polyester Putty And Coating. In 1997, she got her Ph. D degree in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from The institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). She continued her research on silicon base polymer in the University of Florida as a postdoctoral.During 1998 to 2003, she worked in Chemat Technology, Inc. and the National Family Planning Institute of Science and Technology worked for the projects of "Super hydrophilic self-cleaning coating", "Anti-reflection coating" and “biodegradable material as drug carrier”.

She joined ICCAS in 2003. During her work here, she had been in charge of one 863-program, a national science and technology research project, and three national natural science fund projects. Her current research interests are in organic silicon polymers, responsive polymer with micro-/nano-structures. She has published more than 30 scientific papers, and holds 5 authorized innovation patents.
