Professor Jincai Zhao of Institute of Chemistry CAS won the Japanese Photochemistry Association Lectureship Award for Asian and Oceanian Photochemist on September 9^th 2010. Japanese Photochemistry Association is one of the most influential international associations in the area of photochemistry. The association set up two international awards, Lectureship Award for Asian and Oceanian Photochemist and Honda-Fujishima Lectureship Award. They select one winner from Asia and the Pacific or other overseas countries every year. The former was awarded to Professor Jincai Zhao this year for his distinguished contribution to photodegradation of dye pollutants on TiO₂ under visible irradiation and application to green synthesis. The other award was given to Professor J. R. Winkler from California Institute of Technology this year.
